What is Long Covid?
It is normal for Covid symptoms, such as fatigue or shortness of breath, to persist for up to four weeks after becoming unwell. However for some people, the symptoms will persist far beyond that. When they are present for more than 12 weeks, it is referred to as Long Covid.
Long Covid symptoms may be constant, or they may appear in waves or cycles. You can have a period of weeks or months of feeling relatively well, followed by a period of extreme fatigue or shortness of breath.
Long Covid has a wide range of symptoms including:
- Fatigue
- Shortness of breath
- Chest pain or tightness
- Dizziness/Vertigo
- Joint/muscle pain
- Problems with memory and concentration (“brain fog”)
- Persistent cough
- Difficulty sleeping
- Heart palpitations
- Depression and anxiety

We can work with you to identify triggers for when you are doing too much. We can also teach you pacing strategies. For example, to help manage your fatigue in your day-to-day life.
